Mr. Shailesh Haribhakti is Chairman of Haribhakti & Co. LLP (Chartered Accountants); Mentorcap Management Pvt. Ltd., New Haribhakti Business Services LLP .Evolving from a background in Audit, Tax and Consulting, he now seeks to create enduring value for Companies and organizations he is involved with, by being a deeply engaged Independent Director. His strong belief is that good Governance creates a sustainable competitive advantage. He is a strong supporter of a clean and green environment and is pioneering the concept of ‘innovating to zero’ in the social context. Mr. Arun Balakrishnan, BE (Chem) served as Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. from April 1, 2007 to July 31, 2010. Mr. Arun Balakrishnan is the founder Chairman of HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd. and is currently a member of the Board. He was the Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd till July 31, 2010 and was responsible for the formation and development of HMEL & HMPL.

Currently, Mr. Balakrishnan is on the Boards of a number of companies as Independent Director besides being a Member of the Board of Governors, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun and a Trustee of Bangalore Little Theatre. He is also the immediate past President of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering. A Chemical Engineer with a Post Graduate Diploma from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, he is the recipient of the "Distinguished Alumni Award 2008" from his alma-mater. In the recent past, the All India Management Association has conferred a fellowship and the Institute of Engineers (India) has presented a Scroll of Honour for recognition 'of his outstanding contribution to the profession of Chemical Engineering'.

He took over as Chairman, UPSC on 11th December, 1998. Visited France, UK and USA in July 2001 to study the system and procedures adopted by similar organizations in those countries. Suresh Thawani is an accomplished and distinguished professional with rich techno commercial experience of over 41 years in Tata Steel and its subsidiaries, which includes 13 years of Board Room experience. At Tata Steel, was instrumental in designing, developing and marketing several special steel products and stabilizing the Strategic Sourcing Processes. At Neelachal Refractory Limited successfully managed the challenging task of closing down a running but loss making unit and then arranging change in management through BIFR. Doubled production capacity at JAMIPOL by indigenously designing & erecting 2nd green field manufacturing unit at Torannagalu in Karnataka (first unit is at Jamshedpur) and massive innovation in sourcing from China. Under his leadership, Tata Sponge made highest ever profit for straight six years with excellent results in innovation and employee engagement. Tata Sponge became first sponge Iron Company in the world to get TPM award.

Degree in Engineering (IIT, Roorkee), First Class First Post Graduate in Management (Manchester) and Ph.D in Economics (Delhi School of Economics). Ms. Veena Swarup has more than 3 decades of experience in Public Sector. She has taken several Pathbreaking initiatives in EIL towards Talent Management, Training & Development, Employee Communication, CSR & Brand Building with a view to take EIL to greater heights. Mr. Veena has MBA from Lucknow, joined ONGC in 1983 and held various prestigious and challenging assignments in Industrial Relations, Project Management, Change Management & various other facets of management, such as heading the Performance Management & Benchmarking Group, which steered Performance Contracts & Service Level Agreements between Board Level and Unit Chiefs, Setting up the ONGC Energy Center, Head HR at various Units of ONGC, Policy making and Negotiations with Collectives. Ms. Veena was also deputed to Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited as a change agent to initiate aligning the Company to Public Sector requirements. Ms. Veena is a member on several Committees of AIMA, NHRDN, SCOPE, CII, etc. and is actively involved in Development of the field of HR, especially with reference to Public Sector.
